God is a computer programmer- Part 1

 Since 2003, I had been trying to find answers to these four existential questions:

Who am I?

What is existence?

What is my role in existence?

How best can I play that role?

In Feb 2003, I got a spontaneous kundalini awakening and started slipping into automatic trance for many hours at a time, especially during the night. Sometimes, I used to sit in a trance-like state for 8 hours to 10 hours. My wife, Minal, used to keep pillows around me, in case, I fell on my face.

During this trance-like state, I found the answers to the above four questions. The answers came to me automatically during the state. This is the subjective knowledge that comes directly to someone who is in that state of receiving. But how could I be sure that what had occurred in my body was kundalini awakening (I was an atheist till then, and had no clue of kundalini and similar epiphany) and not a fanciful imagination and secondly how would I be certain that the answer to my four questions were authentic? I started wondering if this was some kind of megalomania? Or a perversion of the mind? Or was this some fanciful notion playing in my mind converted into "my" variety of truth? Was my mind playing games? Does my theory stand up to the beacon of rationality and logic? Were these profound understandings or some kind of bullshit masquerading as one? Was I crazy?

Things were happening within my body and my mind was not willing to accept that it was because of “Grace of God”. I did not believe in GOD.

Hence, I tried searching for validation of kundalini awakening and the answers to my questions in different religions, sacred books, quantum physics as well as autobiographies of saints and evolved souls. Fortunately, I found reference and description of the process of kundalini in many books and explanation of the same, which was similar to what happened to me. So, I concluded that I was not crazy, and what had happened to me was authentic and not a product of an overworked mind. That was a great relief. I was searching for similar verification or validation about my understanding of existence. I was examining desperately for someone or something that would validate my theory of the Truth. For the kundalini awakening, I found many accounts and write-ups which gave me the comfort that I was not alone. In spite of reading and searching for many years, I was unable to find similar thoughts or even a partial validation. This search, stretching from 2003 to 2017, was in vain.

For validation, I needed testimony of past or present reliable experts. The reliability of the source was important, as legitimate knowledge can only come from the words of reliable sources. Not finding any record of any authentic views to validate, I decided to put my views on the net with a hope that someone would read it and contact me.  I started writing and publicizing my blogs on the first two questions of “Who am I” and “What is existence?” from 2010.

In the blog http://www.mayankgandhi04.com/2011/03/leela-game-of-life.html, I stated that this entire existence is just a game and we are just characters in that game. Similar to a MMORPG (Massively multiplayer online role playing game) genre of games, there is a pre-determined environment and that we are characters in a simulated reality game. God is in reality the computer programmer who has created this extraordinary game played by billions of individuals. I called this game “LEELA”. We shall discuss this in next blogs….

About a month back, I was sitting and talking to my friend, Chetan, about one of my heroes – Elon Musk. We were discussing about his vision to change the world and humanity. His company Tesla is working on electric cars, Lithium-ion battery energy storage, and, through their SolarCity subsidiary, residential solar panels.  His other company, PayPal is one of the world's largest Internet payment companies. He is also the co-founder of SpaceX, working to enable colonization of Mars, OpenAI that is working on cutting edge Artificial Intelligence as well as Hyperloop - coaches travelling in vacuum tunnels at speeds upto 1200 kms/hr.

While talking, Chetan mentioned that Elon Musk was saying that the universe is a computer simulation. Wow! After 14 years of search for validation, I seem to have found someone talking the same language and that too, Elon Musk – someone whom I admire.

Crazy with happiness, I delved deep into the internet, watching hundreds of scientists saying the same thing. Watched youtube videos on simulated reality late into the night. Don’t know how I missed it earlier.  This was redemption. I was not alone.

In the next few blogs, I will go deep and explain the scientific and rational basis of this assertion. I will go far beyond what the western scientists are saying. Meanwhile I end this blog by quoting Elon Musk:

“Now 40 years later we have photorealistic, 3D simulations with millions of people playing simultaneously and it’s getting better every year. And soon we’ll have virtual reality, we’ll have augmented reality.

“If you assume any rate of improvement at all, then the games will become indistinguishable from reality, just indistinguishable.”
